SÜDDEUTSCHE ZEITUNG MAGAZIN DIGITAL

»Journalism on the Internet can no longer be delimited only by those structural characteristics that were previously sufficient for traditional Journalism (editorial organization, professional practice, specific media types, etc.). In the Internet functional equivalents must be considered, that means services, which provide mediation capacities like traditional journalism, but possess other characteristics«*

The Internet has revolutionized access to and social interaction with the public. As a result, the role of journalism and publication channels is also changing. In order to reach an audience within the digital sphere, therefore, more than the mere digitization of print media content is required. In the course of this, the magazine of the Süddeutsche Zeitung offers a weekly digital publication that takes up the possibilities of digital media and enables knowledge transfer across different digital devices.

In this context, all digital magazines of the Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin and related special publications like the Bauhaus Magazin, PLAN W or Stil Leben were designed from October 2017 to October 2020.
